Humboldtpinguine bei der Fütterung

Four new male arrivals from the Limbach-Oberfrohna America Zoo moved in with us last week and were immediately well received by our Humboldt penguins. The four new males are named Boris, Lorenzo, Sebastian and Gabriel and ensure a balanced gender ratio in the group. This is important so that enough pairs can come together for the breeding season in spring and there is less stress and scramble when looking for a mate. There are now 27 penguins living on the site, 13 of which are males and 14 females.
