World-Civet-Day

Viverrids are one of the oldest families of carnivores on earth. And our zoo is home to the largest viverrid species of all: the binturong. We are spotlighting this species to mark World Civet Day on 5 and 6 April. Zoo visitors can look forward to interactive and educational activities, dedicated entirely to this extraordinary predator, in the new orangutan house. And younger animal lovers can hear the story of Swantje’s Adventures in the children’s cinema.
