Useful information for your visit

  • The Conservation Euro is a voluntary contribution to species conservation. 100% of contributions are donated to field projects. The Conservation Euro is automatically added to the admission price. Nursery and school groups are excluded from this. Visitors who prefer not to pay this contribution must inform ticket office staff of this BEFORE PAYMENT IS MADE. In that case, the Conservation Euro would then be deducted from the admission price. The contribution cannot be refunded once payment has been made. You can find more information on the Conservation Euro
  • Free admission for children under the age of three.
  • Please note that children under the age of 10 may only visit the Zoo when accompanied by an adult. Children aged between 10 and 12 must show a declaration of consent from a guardian in order to visit the Zoo unaccompanied.
  • ¹ The Monday ticket can only be purchased from the Zoo ticket office. Not valid on public holidays or event days.
  • ***Please show proof of educational establishment at the ticket office. Free admission for three supervising adults with school and nursery groups. Free admission for two supervising adults with vocational school groups.
  • Holders of the Dresden Pass and other municipal passes for low-income earners in Saxony pay a reduced admission price. This discount does not apply to the Saxon Family Pass.
  • There is a winter discount from 1 November to the end of February.
  • Admission to the Zoo is free for children (aged 3 to 16) on their birthday ‒ simply show official confirmation of their birthday.
  • Dogs are not permitted inside the Zoo. There are no facilities where they can be left during your visit.
